Mankato's Verizon Wireless Center Welcomes Vince Gill
Vince Gill made a stop at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato, MN on April 6th, 2017 on his recent tour much to the delight of everyone that was there. By the time he went on, the place was near a sold out crowd. Only a few seats remained in the far upper rows. Everyone was buzzing about the show and I overheard many people discussing it as we were walking into the Verizon Event Center.
Soon after I arrived, the show started and the crowd cheered in anticipation when they saw Vince Gill and the band walk up on stage. After the first song, I realized why everyone was so excited about the show. He sounded amazing and each song sounded really close to the original recording. Since he has been making music since he was 17 and, as he announced during his set, he will be turning 60 next week he had a wide range of songs to choose from. He made sure to make the proper introductions for his band members shortly after the show started as well. Vince Gill put on a great show and I now know why Mankato was so excited to get a show!
As always, get out and support live music and I'll see you out there!
