Miranda Lambert Makes St. Patrick's Day Special for the Xcel Energy Center
The green was out in force on Friday, March 17th at the Xcel Energy Center as Miranda Lambert and the Highway Vagabond Tour made their Minneapolis, MN stop! I photographer the show for Country 103.5, (KYSM)! When I got to the venue, there were people everywhere that looked like they had been partying for some time already! Everywhere you looked there were smiling faces ready to have a good time at the show!
The photographers had two choices at this show, shoot from the soundboard or go into the pit with the VIP ticket holders. I chose to head to the pit each time as I liked getting the crowd in the photos at times.
We were escorted down to the pit for the first performer, Aubrie Sellers. She had a relatively short set, but the crowd was singing along during the three songs I was on the floor. Aubrie Sellers certainly had the crowd going and started the show out right!
Next up was Old Dominion. They brought out a little faster moving songs and a ton of lighting with them! Almost the entire stage behind them was lights pointed at the crowd! Right from the time everyone started screaming when they saw the band take the stage until the end of the set, Old Dominion put on a great performance!
Finally, after a seemingly lengthy stage switch, Miranda Lambert took the stage. The screams where louder than the intro music when she walked up! I only got to see the first three songs of her set, but those were enough to know she charmed the near packed Xcel Energy Center! Even after I was out by the entry gates again packing up, the cheers and singing of the crowd could still be heard! Miranda Lambert certainly gave the crowd the show they were hoping for! Head over to Country 103.5's website to see more upcoming shows!
As always, get out and support live music and I'll see you out there!
