Highly Suspect to Headline SOLD OUT! 93X IceBreaker Show at First Avenue
The 93X IceBreaker show is something I look forward to each Spring. It signifies the start of warmer weather and the start of another season of great shows and festivals. This year's show will be headlined by Highly Suspect with special guests DJ Redbees and And The Kids, and will take place at First Avenue's Main Room!
"Highly Suspect is an American rock music trio from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The band was founded by twin brothers Rich (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ryan Meyer (drums, backing vocals) and their best friend Johnny Stevens (guitar, lead vocals). After starting as a bar cover band, they relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where they recorded The Worst Humans EP with producer Joel Hamilton (Elvis Costello, Plastic Ono Band, The Black Keys, Wu-Tang Clan). The band's first studio album, Mister Asylum, was released on July 17, 2015, earning Highly Suspect a nomination for Best Rock Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. The song "Lydia" was also nominated for Best Rock Song. Their second studio album, The Boy Who Died Wolf, was released on November 18, 2016." - (Wikipedia).
And The Kids sounds like an interesting group. It should be interesting to see them live! From their website:
"And The Kids channel existential crises into pop euphoria. With this sleight of hand, the quartet manages to conjure chunky indie rock, blissful new wave, chamber folk, jarring avant-garde, and brawny classic rock."
